Gordon Ryan released his first instructional quite some time ago now and the ADCC Double Champion has just announced the topics for the ninth and tenth full-length features that will be available on BJJ Fanatics. The news comes after his recent appearance on FloGrappling’s star-studded Who’s Number One event, one where he took on fellow ADCC 2019 World Champion Matheus Diniz and ground him down over the course of the match before winning via heelhook.

His two most recent instructionals have been based around attacking from the bottom position, specifically from open guard, and have been split between the seated and supine position. Gordon Ryan explained in a post on his official Instagram account that his next instructional will be one he’s been asked for previously, on attacking from half guard. He also explained that the next in the series he has planned will be on a topic that’s recently gotten a lot of attention from Lachlan Giles and Ariel Tabak, guard retention.

He did mention another topic that he’s going to look into developing an instructional for in the future, the one that many fans will most likely be dying for, leglocks. He didn’t specify whether this one would be directly after the two that he has announced, just that it’s something that he’ll be looking into in the future. One thing is for sure, both Ryan and BJJ Fanatics will make a lot of money from these two instructionals as no doubt most BJJ competitors on the planet would jump at the chance to learn something from the greatest active no gi competitor.
