Gilbert Burns has now been booked to fight one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster in Jorge Masvidal, in the co-main event of UFC 287 on April 8th, 2023. The main event of the same card will see Israel Adesanya attempt to regain the UFC middleweight world title in a rematch with Alex Pereira, the first man to defeat him in his professional MMA career. The full card has yet to be confirmed, but several fights have been added to the event and it’s already looking like a fantastic event that is stacked with some of the best fighters on the planet.
Supporting these two epic matches is the return of fan-favourite Kevin Holland, who will be facing Santiago Ponzinibbio in a tough match that is sure to produce some exciting moments. The event will also see several top fighters in their respective divisions like Kelvin Gastelum and Rob Font, helping to pad out the event and make sure that fans buying the PPV definitely get their money’s worth. Although he’s nowhere near as established as a lot of names on the card, Raul Rosas Jr will also be competing against Christian Rodriguez. Rosas Jr has a ton of hype surrounding him as the fierce grappler became the youngest fighter to ever win on a UFC fight in his debut last year.
