Fury Pro Grappling 8 took place on December 30th, 2023 and the lineup featured several talented grapplers and MMA veterans battling for the results that they wanted. There were a number of competitors who already had experience with the promotion alongside others making their debut, but they all gave everything they had to deliver action for the fans. There were several highlights as the card progressed, including Pat Sabatini submitting Niko Price with a crazy Suloev Stretch right at the start of their match.
That led straight into the co-main event, where top ranked UFC heavyweight Alexandr Romanov landed some huge takedowns against Chris Daukaus in order to come away with the decision win. The main event was a bit of an anti-climactic end to an otherwise fun event, as neither Aljamain Sterling or Kevin Dantzler were able to get much going in their match. Sterling very clearly wanted to wrestle as he kept trying to encourage Dantzler to stand up, but Dantzler wanted to play guard and was happy to sit down. From there Sterling never came anywhere near passing his guard and Dantzler got the closest to anything when he latched on to an armbar. Sterling stood up and shook him off but that attempt was enough to earn Dantzler the decision win.
