The inaugural ADCC Youth Championship will take place on August 16th, 2024 and the promotion has just announced the full lineup for every age bracket at the event. The tournament will form part of the build-up for ADCC 2024 and it will take place on the day before the main event begins. It’s the very first time that the tournament has taken place and it’s the brainchild of ADCC organizer Mo Jassim, who announced in 2023 that he was planning on creating it. The event has been designed as a way to showcase the very best grapplers in the world between the ages of 7 and 17, and it will allow fans to see the next generation of elite competitors on their rise to the top.
While the competitors in the youngest age brackets have quite a long time before they’re going to break through to the highest level of the sport, many of the competitors in the 15-17 age bracket are actually already there. Several of these teenagers have been beating adults for quite a while and have even made appearances on the biggest events like Who’s Number One and the Professional Grappling Federation. Obviously ADCC 2024 is the main attraction of the week but the lineup for the first ADCC Youth Championship includes a number of grapplers who will likely be competing on the biggest stage inside of the next few years.
