Finishers Summer Bash 2 took place on August 26th, 2023 and the latest event by Finishers Sub Only delivered some great results from start to finish. The vast majority of the matches ended in submission in regulation time, and there was plenty of action in each and every one of them. The main attraction for the evening was Max Hanson’s attempt to defend both his lightweight and welterweight titles on the same night. Not only did he manage to do it, but he actually won both of his matches by submission with a pair of heel hooks against two tough competitors.
Hanson wasn’t the only Finishers champion hitting the mats though, as Frank Rosenthal put his featherweight title on the line against Julian Espinosa. It was a tough match that went all the way to EBI overtime but in the end, Espinosa got the finish and took home the belt. The final title-fight of the night was the main event, where Pat Shahgholi defended the heavyweight title against Nick Willey. It was a fun match with a crazy finish, as Shahgholi secured the heel hook in the dying seconds of the match. The most notable highlights from the rest of the card came from Amanda Mazza who hit a beautiful flying armbar, and Gavin Corbe and Deandre Corbe who both put in dominant performances.
