PGF (Professional Grappling Federation) Season 6 promises to be the greatest that the promotion has ever delivered and the full lineup of 20 elite grapplers has now been announced ahead of the event on April 21st to 26th, 2024. It’s no surprise that they’ve been able to attract some of the best competitors on the planet seeing as there is an incredible $100,000 grand prize available for the league. Not only will this be one of the biggest opportunities for these competitors to get paid but it’s also a huge boost in exposure now that the promotion has also signed an exclusive streaming deal with UFC Fight Pass.
Elite 10th Planet black belt PJ Barch is probably the favorite to take home the title and grand prize in season 6 of PGF, and he’s riding a huge wave of momentum after winning the welterweight grand prix at Polaris 27. Barch isn’t the only ADCC veteran who has been signed to the roster either, and some of his opponents will be very tough challenges for him. Andy Varela, Renato Canuto, John Combs, and AJ Agazarm all have experience competing in the world’s most prestigious no gi grappling tournament and each one of them are difficult matches for anyone.
There are also several exciting grapplers in the lineup who could make a huge impact with some big wins at PGF Season 6 like Davis Asare, Kieran Kichuk, Max Hanson, and Daniel Sathler. A big one to watch is Elijah Carlton, who is historically the most successful competitor that the promotion has ever had and will be eager to prove himself against the higher level of opposition this season; much like Season 3 champion David Evers. There are several other promotional veterans who have been invited back as well, with Kevin Beuhring, Cam Hurd, and Samson Phommabout all returning to the PGF stage in hopes of improving on their last appearances.
Former Bellator fighter Kywan Gracie is a bit of an unknown quantity so will be difficult for everyone to prepare for, and will no doubt be tough to beat. Alongside him is another big 10th Planet name, Ben Eddy, one of the most unconventional grapplers on the planet with a lethal rubber guard. Fellow top 10th Planet black belt Mike John will also be a huge threat in the season, as will Helio Soneca student Nathan Haddad. Rounding out the roster are top brown belt talents Jett Thompson and Jamie Carnall, who will be looking to burst into the highest level of the sport with some big wins.
