Combat Sports Coverage 31 is scheduled for November 23rd, 2024 and the promotion has put together another excellent 3 vs 3 team grappling tournament. Each of the four teams involved include some of the best female BJJ competitors in the area and they’ll be battling it out for the grand prize of $1,000 and the promotion’s team title. They are all being sponsored by local businesses, and some of the women hitting the mats have already established themselves as serious contenders. There’s also a series of superfights on the preliminary card and an excellent main event, where promotional champions Ruben Alaniz and Reed Shelger will compete for the inaugural under 195lbs title.

The first team competing at Combat Sports Coverage 31 will be representing the Erik Smith Law Office, and it features two promotional champions. Taylor Hishaw and Ally Wolski are both excellent grapplers and their presence alone is enough for the team to come in as one of the favoriteshere. They will be joined by their teammate at B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, Elizabeth Moreno. Not only is Moreno a tough competitor in her own right but just like Hishaw and Wolski, she’s also a seasoned CSC veteran. Moreno has made it to a tournament final before, and she’s a strong addition to any team.

The team they will face in the first round is San Miguel Roofing, who will be led by top competitor Trinity Pun. She won’t be the only New Wave Jiu-Jitsu representative in the team either, as she’s being joined by one of the team’s most exciting colored belts; Hannah Griffith. Rounding out the team is a veteran BJJ black belt who has already beaten some of the best in the world and won an IBJJF World Championship in both gi and no gi. Amanda Monteiro is going to be seriously tough to beat for any of the women in the tournament and between these three women, San Miguel Roofing is the other top contender to take home the title.

The other side of the bracket features the Southern Star Brewing Co team, which includes two promotional veterans in Madison Taggart and Victoria Leigh. They will be joining forces with Celeste Herrera for the tournament, and they will collectively be facing off with Team Valkyrie League in the opening round. Leading that team is 10th Planet purple belt Sarah Vasquez, and she is coming into Combat Sports Coverage 31 off a submission win in her last appearance. Competing alongside Vasquez is two promotional newcomers who both have plenty of experience on the mats against tough opposition, Carolina Ramon and Aya Rodriguez.

The full Combat Sports Coverage 31 event will be available to watch live on November 22nd, 2024, on FloGrappling, click here to subscribe and watch.
