Emerald City Invitational 4 delivered yet another night of exciting results as the promotion awarded yet another $10,000 grand prize to the man who was able to defeat three elite competitors in one night. Their fourth event was actually more stacked than any of their previous outings as it included athletes like Gianni Grippo, Josh Cisneros, Jon Calestine, Gabriel Sousa, and Adam Benayoun. The tournament also featured a man who qualified for the event the hard way, as Kieran Kichuk won an ECI qualifier event that saw him book his place by defeating plenty of local talent.
In the end, it was Kichuk who stormed to victory on the night as he became the first ECI qualifier to win an ECI event. Kichuk came up against Josh Cisneros first and experienced a tough match against him that was decided in EBI overtime, before he faced similar difficulty against the legendary Gianni Grippo. Kichuk then went on to face one of Ryan Hall’s training partners, Adam Benayoun, in the final and again it was a tough match that went the distance only for Kichuk to get the win in EBI overtime.
