Ice Blue is one of the most famous rappers to ever emerge from Brazil but he’s also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who will be competing at BJJ Stars 10: Battlefield on April 22nd, 2023. Ice Blue actually grew up in the favelas around Sao Paulo and it was there that he found the men who he would later start working with in his rap and hip-hop career. Along with Mano Brown, Edi Rock, and DJ KL Jay he founded the hip-hop group Racionais MC’s in 1988 and they quickly started to gain a following around the country.
The four men became one of the most prestigious hip-hop groups to ever emerge from Brazil and they have earned numerous awards over the decades that they have been together. At the same time though, Ice Blue was also getting involved with BJJ. He started training in the sport and has never looked back, even going so far as to be promoted to second degree black belt too. He will now be competing on a huge stage at BJJ Stars 10: Battlefield, as he will be facing fellow veteran black belt Alexandre Godoy in a superfight at the event.
BJJ Stars 10: Battlefield will also feature two other superfights, as Amanda Hening takes on Ingridd Alves and Lucas Maquine takes on Joao Rocha. Of course, the main attraction for the event isn’t the superfights at all, as the promotion has put together an incredible absolute grand prix that stars 16 of the best competitors on the planet. With huge names competing all throughout the card, BJJ Stars 10: Battlefield is virtually guaranteed to be one of the most exciting events of the year and it’s clearly going to be packed with plenty of action.
