BJJ Stars 12 is scheduled for April 27th, 2024 and the promotion has arranged a series of superfights to take place alongside a fantastic medium-heavyweight grand prix tournament. There will be a ton of action taking place at the event before the grand prix even begins, with some of the superfights featuring fantastic competitors. There’s a few interesting matches with top competitors like Sabrina Gondim and Ygor Rodrigues involved, leading up to some truly impressive battles. Luiza Monteiro is one of the best grapplers in her weight class right now and she’ll be facing Julia Alves in what should be a very exciting matchup, followed by Anna Rodrigues and Bianca Basilio no doubt producing some fireworks.
The final superfight of the night will feature none other than BJJ legend Vitor ‘Shaolin’ Ribeiro as he takes on Adriano Silva in a rare competition appearance. Although these superfights are entertaining enough, the main attraction will undoubtedly be the medium-heavyweight grand prix. The early favorite to win the tournament is most likely Fellipe Andrew, but he will have some serious talent looking to stop him. Isaque Bahiense in particular will be looking for some revenge against him after a narrow loss in their first match just two years ago, and he’s only gotten better since then.
Francisco Lo will also be eager to get one back against Fellipe Andrew and these two aren’t the only competitors that Andrew has beaten before either; he actually holds multiple wins over both Gustavo Batista and Uanderson Ferreira. There are plenty of new challenges waiting for Andrew in the BJJ Stars 12 lineup too though, as the final 3 competitors have never met him on the mats before. Gabriel Brod and Mauricio Oliveira will both be tough matchups for anyone they come across in the bracket, and Leonardo Lara is a dark horse that might be able to cause an upset.
