The November 2024 update has been applied to the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings and the full standings can be found here. October might not have been the busiest month of the year, but there was still plenty of changes to made after some big events. The IBJJF No Gi European Championship took place this month and had quite a big impact on the no gi divisions, while the rest of the action took place at superfight events. This last month saw the latest UFC Fight Pass Invitational and Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship events, along with several smaller promotions putting on stacked cards too.

Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings – November 2024 Update
Men’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 135lbs
Christopher Tran had a pretty big impact this month as he broke into the edge of the top ten for the first time thanks to his title-winning performance at the IBJJF No Gi European Championship 2024. He wasn’t the only one to move up at bantamweight though, as the top five had a little shake-up too. Both Edwin ‘Junny’ Ocasio and Valor Boyer moved up one space to 3rd and 2nd respectively thanks to their wins this month. Ocasio won a gold medal at the IBJJF No Gi European Championship, while Boyer beat Riki Yoshinaga at ADXC 6.
Featherweight – Under 148lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Lightweight – Under 162lbs
Gabriel Sousa breaks into the rankings in a second weight class with a win over a big name this month, as he was able to out-score Josh Cisneros to win a decision at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 8. Sousa moves into the 9th spot as a result, while the rest of the division moves to accommodate him.
Welterweight – Under 175lbs
Renato Canuto got revenge against PJ Barch at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 8, submitting him in return for the submission loss he suffered at PGF World Season 6 just a few months ago. It wasn’t enough for him to overtake Barch, but it did make him break back into the rankings at 11th while Barch dropped down to 6th.
Middleweight – Under 190lbs
Jeremy Skinner is a new arrival in the middleweight division, as the Australian won a silver medal at the IBJJF No Gi European Championship and he takes the 15th spot as a result.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 205lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
There was just a small change at heavyweight this month, as Marcin Maciulewicz submitted Patrick Gaudio in a superfight at Kaizen 2 and the pair swap places at 14th and 15th respectively.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
Khamzat Stambulov scored a huge upset win on points against John Hansen in order to win the UWW Grappling World Championship 2024 and he breaks into the rankings at number thirteen.
Pound for Pound
Felipe Pena is new in at number fourteen here, as space opened up after another competitor slid down the rankings of their own weight class.
Jits Magazine Men’s Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 137lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Featherweight – Under 154lbs
Jefferson Fagundes takes the 13th place at featherweight after beating Florian Bayili in a very close match at a recent AJP Tour event.
Lightweight – Under 169lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Welterweight – Under 181lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Middleweight – Under 194lbs
Bruno Lima moves up to 9th after a big win at ADXC 7 and Isaque Bahiense slips down to 10th for being on the losing end of that decision.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 208lbs
Leonardo Ferreira registered a huge upset at the IBJJF Curitiba Spring Open 2024, and he has broken into the rankings at 6th after his very first matches at black belt thanks to a close win over Vinicius Liberati on advantages.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam – China 2024 had a big impact on the bottom end of the super-heavyweight rankings, as the final three spots were all changed from this event. Catriel Rodrigues comes in at 13th and right behind him is Wallace Costa and Jean Santos in that order. The PBJJF World Championship also had a small effect, as the 9th spot is now occupied by Gutemberg Pereira after he split a pair of matches with Pedro Alex.

Jits Magazine Women’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Strawweight – Under 115lbs
Alex Nguyen just entered the rankings after Finishers: Night of Champions 2, she retained the promotion’s strawweight title with a submission win and earned herself the 13th spot.
Featherweight – Under 125lbs
Sophia Cassella made her black belt debut at the IBJJF Cleveland Open 2024 and she now sits at number fourteen after splitting a pair of matches with veteran competitor Amanda ‘Tubby’ Alequin. Shortly after that Raquel Ferreira won the IBJJF No Gi European Championship 2024 to take up the 11th spot and the woman she beat in the final, Emily Nicholson, now sits at number twelve.
Lightweight – Under 135lbs
There were no changes in the November 2024 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Middleweight – Under 146lbs
Raquel Canuto broke into the rankings at number ten after she beat Gabrielle McComb at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 8 and that was the only change at middleweight this month.
Heavyweight – Over 146lbs
The IBJJF No Gi European Championship 2024 wreaked a bit of havoc at heavyweight, as Aurelie Le Vern won double gold and moved into 7th place. Anabel Lopez won a gold and silver medal, so she slots in right behind Le Vern at number eight. Following her at 9th is Ane Svendson, who won a silver and bronze medal in the same brackets.
