The July 2025 update has been applied to the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings and the full standings can be found here. Things were pretty quiet in the first few weeks of the month but they really picked up steam towards the end, with several major events taking place. Most of changes were to the no gi divisions and a lot of them came from the AIGA Champions League Final 2025. There were also a few changes to the gi divisions though, coming primarily from the latest stop on the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam tour and the IBJJF American National Championship 2025 as well.

Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings – June 2025 Update
Men’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 135lbs
Featherweight – Under 148lbs
Hejraat Rashid got a huge win at AIGA and he is now ranked for the first time ever, breaking in at number thirteen.
Lightweight – Under 162lbs
There was absolute chaos at the top of this division thanks to AIGA, as Fabricio Andrey beat one of the best in the world to advance to 2nd place and the rest of the top three have switched around to leave Diego ‘Pato’ Oliveira in the top spot. The final change happened a little lower down and earlier in the month, as the regular season of UFC BJJ 1 saw the eventual champion Carlos Henrique get a win that secured his position at number nine.
Welterweight – Under 175lbs
Kenta Iwamoto returns to the welterweight rankings at number 15 thanks to a win at AIGA, while Gazimagomed Gaziev came out of nowhere at the same event to register a win that puts him in at number nine.
Middleweight – Under 190lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 205lbs
Light-heavyweight is another division that was shaken up by AIGA, as Roberto Jimenez beat the previous number one and now moves up to 3rd in the rankings. Murad Abdulatipov beat Jimenez himself and he is the new number two, while Mason Fowler benefits from the changes and becomes the new number one.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
Declan Moody climbed up to 7th after beating Fellipe Andrew at WNO 28, and he wasn’t even the only Australian to do so this month. Andrew returned in the opening round of AIGA and Daniel Schuardt submitted him to slot in behind Moody at 8th. There were a few changes from AIGA lower in the rankings too, as Kaynan Duarte enters this weight for the first time at 13th and Ruslan Abdulaev comes in at 12th after beating him.
Pound for Pound
Mason Fowler and Fabricio Andrey are both re-entering the pound for pound rankings at 12th and 13th respectively, while the rest of the division shuffled around a little above them.
Jits Magazine Men’s Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 137lbs
Featherweight – Under 154lbs
Lightweight – Under 169lbs
The only change here came from the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam – Moscow and it was from Jefferson Goteu beating a top opponent in the final. He moves in 9th place now because of it.
Welterweight – Under 181lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Middleweight – Under 194lbs
Another change from ADGS in Moscow, as Pablo Custodia took gold and now sits at number thirteen.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 208lbs
Thiago Andrade got a solid win at the IBJJF American National Championship and he moves up to 10th, while the other changes below him all came from ADGS Moscow. Belmir Ahmespahic comes in at number thirteen and Telmo Castro just makes it in to the 15th spot.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
Matheus Felipe won a stacked tournament at ACBJJ 16 and he shot up the rankings all the way into 3rd because of one of the wins he got along the way.
Pound for Pound

Jits Magazine Women’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Strawweight – Under 115lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Featherweight – Under 125lbs
UFC BJJ 1 had a small impact here, as Cassia Moura moved up a single place to 9th after winning her superfight.
Lightweight – Under 135lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Middleweight – Under 146lbs
There were a few changes from the female Squads match at Polaris 32 and the first came here, as Margot Ciccarelli went on an incredible run of five wins that has seen her move up to 4th at this weight.
Heavyweight – Over 146lbs
Sula-Mae Lowenthal won a decision over one of the best in the world at Polaris 32 and she moves in to 8th now, even though the match was fairly short due to the Squads format.
Pound for Pound
There was just a slight rearrangement at the bottom of the pound for pound rankings as Margot Ciccarelli enters at 14th.
Jits Magazine Women’s Gi BJJ Rankings
Strawweight – Under 118lbs
Mara Kelly won a silver medal at the IBJJF American National Championship and she now moves into 14th as a result of her wins leading into the final.
Featherweight – Under 129lbs
Lightweight – Under 141lbs
There were no changes in the July 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Middleweight – Under 163lbs
The final change coming from the American Nationals happened here, with Aghata Fernandes entering the rankings for the first time at number twelve.
Heavyweight – Over 163lbs
