ADXC 3 took place on March 2nd, 2024 and the promotion’s first event in Brazil was a huge success by all standards, as it produced some fantastic results throughout the night. Even the preliminary card featured some exciting matches and memorable moments, most notably at the end when Pedro Alex scored a huge upset by beating two-time ADCC Trials winner Dan Manasoiu by decision. There was plenty of highlights waiting for the fans in attendance too, and the main card kicked off with a series of electric submission wins thanks to some elite competitors.
Both Samuel Nagai and Fabricio Andrey impressed in their matches, winning with a shoulder lock and a guillotine respectively. After a few hard-fought decisions on the main card, it was time for the two co-main event matches. Both of them ended with upsets, starting with Henrique ‘Ceconi’ Cardoso earning a split decision win over Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu. Next up was a gi match between top young prospect Rayron Gracie and one of the best competitors in the division, Fellipe Andrew. Gracie was able to announce his arrival to the highest level of the sport in style, locking up a collar choke and submitting Andrew after a little less than 10 minutes of action.
The first main event match of ADXC 3 was just as entertaining as some of the earlier results, even if it didn’t end in the underdog winning. Beatriz ‘Bia’ Mesquita was in control of her match with Jennifer Maia right from the start, landing an uchi mata and sinking in the rear-naked choke almost immediately. The final match of the night was a tough battle between Jansen Gomes and Bruno Lima, although in the end Gomes managed to keep his position at the top of his weight class by earning a unanimous decision win.
