News has just broken that ADCC will be returning to FloGrappling exclusively for all of their upcoming events. This marks a return to the status quo, as FloGrappling is the streaming service that fans have been able to find ADCC on in recent years. The grappling community was surprised at the beginning of 2023 though, when ADCC announced that they had signed an exclusive deal with UFC Fight Pass instead and all of their upcoming open tournaments, trials, and ADCC 2024 itself would be found there. It’s unclear exactly why the promotion has decided to move back to FloGrappling after signing the deal with UFC Fight Pass, but the return is clearly a done deal.
FloGrappling also shared a quote from ADCC head organizer Mo Jassim on their social media announcement:
“The rise of grappling has been monumental, and our team is excited to partner with the FloSports team to spotlight the biggest grappling athletes in the world. We have so much to look forward to with the goal to continue delivering the global grappling community with the best event production and coverage, and we’re only getting started.”
It’s clear that the two organizations must have been in talks for quite a while now, because they’re really hitting the ground running with the new streaming deal. The first event that will be broadcast on FloGrappling as part of this new deal will be the upcoming ADCC Open on April 29th, 2023. This is the Orange County Open that Mo Jassim has already announced will feature an impressive cash prize for the absolute divisions, and that Gordon Ryan has confirmed he will be appearing at in order to meet the fans in attendance.
