The ADCC North American East Coast Trials 2023 took place across October 14th and 15th, 2023 and the results came in after almost a thousand elite grapplers had stepped on the mats to compete. This was only the second edition of ADCC Trials for ADCC 2024 and there were five more invites to the world’s most prestigious no gi grappling tournament handed out. As always with the first edition in each continent, there were only invites available for the men’s divisions and the women were competing more for prestige than anything else.

One of the biggest moments came in the under 66kg division, when teenage prodigy Dorian Olivarez won an invite by putting on a relentless pace and pressure against every single opponent. There was a little surprise in the 77kg division too, as Elijah Dorsey beat Nicky Ryan in the final to earn his invite. Although Jacob Couch was one of the favorites coming into the event, not many people would have predicted that he would have won every single match at under 88kg by submission. There were predictable winners in the two heaviest men’s divisions though, as Paul Ardila won ADCC Trials for the fourth time at under 99kg and Dan Manasoiu won his invite at over 99kg.

Although there weren’t invites on the line in the women’s divisions, there was still plenty of top competitors delivering some great action. Alex Enriquez won the under 55kg division after registering a few impressive wins, while Morgan Black emerged victorious in a tough under 65kg division that involved beating Helena Crevar in the final. The final women’s weight class at over 65kg was won by Amanda Leve, who was absolutely flawless on the mats as she finished all four of her opponents in just a little over 6 minutes in total.

Before seeing the results, check out our full preview of each division at the ADCC North American East Coast Trials 2023 here.
