The ADCC Asia and Oceania Trials 2025 took place on December 7th, 2025 and the results saw another batch of elite competitors earned their invites to ADCC 2026. Only the male winners receive the opportunity to compete at the world’s most prestigious no gi grappling tournament, and there were no women entered at over 65kg as a result. The other two brackets were fairly small too, with top contender Kanae Yamada beating two opponents to win the under 55kg division. Veteran competitor Ju Chin Shih won the other weight class at under 65kg, winning four matches to take home the title there.

Ryoma Anraku had one of the most gruelling runs of the whole day at under 66kg, as all of  five of his matches went the distance. He won each and every one though, fighting tooth and nail to earn his way to ADCC next year. Izaak Michell had a similarly tough run at under 77kg, as he fought his way through five matches in the most stacked division at the event and had to beat two Trials winners to win an invite. Jozef Chen had one of the most memorable performances at under 88kg, securing submissions in four wins and scoring a total of thirty points without conceding a single one.

Chen wasn’t the only one to steamroll through his division though, as one ATOS’ most recent rising stars was the only one to finish the day with a perfect 100% finishing-rate. Nicholas Maglicic only had three matches but he faced a Trials winner and a medalist along the way, submitting both of them and his opening round opponent. Then the final invite at over 99kg was won by Tito Carle, who also had to make it through three tough matches. Carle won one by points and two by submission, including his final match against the favorite to win the bracket.
