It’s just been confirmed that the ADCC Amateur World Championship 2024 will be taking place in Warsaw, Poland on May 25th and 26th, 2024. This is a completely separate tournament from ADCC 2024 that will be taking place later in the year and instead of featuring the best competitors in the world, it will feature the next generation of prospects and veterans instead. It’s a unique event that’s exclusively available to grapplers outside the very highest level of the sport, as any adult who has competed at the professional level in an ADCC Open will not be eligible to enter the tournament unless they are eligible for a masters division.
That’s because there are no adult professional divisions available at the tournament and nobody will be permitted to compete at a lower experience level than they should. The only professional level grapplers will be competing in masters age brackets, and there’s already dozens of them signed up from all around the world. There will be plenty of action to watch when these seasoned competitors take to the mats against one another and the entire tournament will actually be broadcast live on FloGrappling as well.
The adult beginner, intermediate, and advanced divisions will also no doubt produce some entertaining moments as fans get to see competitors at a little bit of a lower level on the rise. If fans are looking for a way to keep an eye on top prospects, there’s an even better opportunity in the children’s divisions too. Don’t let age fool you, there will almost certainly be kids competing at the ADCC Amateur World Championship 2024 who have years of experience in the training room already. In fact this event might be a nice build-up towards the ADCC Youth Championship 2024 later in the year, where the best children on the planet will be battling it out.
