The Women Who Fight Invitational 2024 took place on September 20th, 2024 and brought together some of the best female grapplers from all around Europe to compete. With a £2,500 grand prize on the line for the winner, the promotion has been making a huge effort to highlight women in the sport. After a preliminary match featuring a pair of up-and-coming prospects, it was time for the unique tournament. There were two brackets of four women competing in a round-robin format where they were given 3 points for a submission win, 2 points for a points win, and 1 point for a draw. With every woman guaranteed 3 matches as a result, it meant that there was still a lot to play for even if someone had a slow start.

That’s exactly what happened in Bracket A, as VT Jiu-Jitsu purple belt Zoe Lundy got a close points win over Amanda Schurtz in her first match. She went on a great run after that by submitting her next two opponents and securing her place in the final. Bracket B saw the favorite Ane Svendsen lose her first match against Injana Goodman on points, before rallying with two submission wins and making it to the final opposite Lundy. Svendson put on a veteran performance against Lundy then to beat her by a single point and take home the grand prize.
