The latest Who’s Number One event featured three title fights and was headlined by an epic battle between Craig Jones and Pedro Marinho for the inaugural Light-Heavyweight title, and the results really do speak for themselves. First up on the main card was Mikey Musumeci and Estevan Martinez as the former defended the Bantamweight title he won at the end of 2021 for the very first time. Musumeci won a convincing decision, and Jacob Couch was up next to put on an excellent display by submitting David Garmo with an inside heelhook that he hit from a perfect false reap.

This was followed by two close matches where Brianna Ste-Marie and Elder Cruz managed to edge out Amanda ‘Tubby’ Alequin and Nick Rodriguez by a matter of inches in the end. The second title fight of the night was for the inaugural Welterweight title and Tye Ruotolo managed to make good on his promise of becoming the first Who’s Number One double champion as he submitted Levi Jones-Leary with a Kneebar to add the belt to the Middleweight title he won back at the WNO Championships event.

The main event was another relatively close matchup but in the end, Jones’ recent decision to never pull guard again may have actually backfired. The match featured a high number of wrestling exchanges and Jones wasn’t really able to get his game going or gain the upper hand in any of them. It was Marinho’s advantage in the standing grappling department that ended up seeing him through to winning a unanimous decision, and the inaugural WNO Light-Heavyweight championship.
