Who’s Number One 30 is scheduled for October 24th, 2025 and the promotion has announced the 7 superfights that have completed the card. The main attraction for the event is a stacked absolute grand prix featuring 8 elite grapplers from a range of different weight classes, but these superfights should be equally exciting. There’s 4 matches on the undercard that will kick the event off, starting with Matthew Velez vs Xavier Rodela and Andy Voughn vs Sean Kyle. Kyle O’Hare then faces Daniel Cohen and the preliminary card comes to an end when top young contender Emily Leyva takes on Claire Butterfield in a very interesting matchup.
After that there will only be 3 more superfights on the card, but each one is between competitors at the very top of the sport. First up is a battle between two of the best heavyweights in the world, ADCC veterans Gutemberg Pereira and Devhonte Johnson. They have a little bit of history together as they crossed paths back in 2023 during the opening round of the absolute grand prix at BJJ Stars 10. It was a gi match and Johnson won by judge’s decision, so it’ll be interesting to see how much of a difference the change in ruleset will make to the outcome.
That is followed up by Owen Jones taking on Gavin Corbe, in what should be a thrilling lightweight battle. Both men are fast-paced and although Corbe is a little more well-rounded, Jones is an elite leglocker who will push him to the limit. Then in the final superfight of the night, Sarah Galvao faces the next major challenge of her career in Trinity Pun. Galvao has recently completed her journey from top prospect to legitimate contender and it’s a path that Pun has also walked down over the last few years. Both women can do absolutely everything and have already beaten elite grapplers, so this is a match we’ll likely see again in the years to come.
