UFC and Strikeforce veteran Nick Diaz has been spending time training with Heavyweight world champion boxer Tyson Fury, trading grappling and boxing secrets with the elite striker. The sparring session comes just a matter of months before Fury meets Anthony Joshua in a fight to unify all of the major boxing Heavyweight world titles for the first time since Fury himself decided to vacate them back in 2016. He’s not the only one of the pair who will be competing at some point this year, at least according to Kevin Mubenga, the Diaz brother’s manager who firmly believes that Nick will make his comeback at some point in 2021.
Nick Diaz has been putting in the physical work to prepare for his potential comeback fight too, as he’s already completed a test weight-cut in order to prove that he can still go through the rigors of preparing for an MMA fight at the age of 37. Despite his apparent intention to make a return to the cage after an absence of over six years, the elder Diaz brother is still busy outside of training as well. He recently signed a deal with adult entertainment website Stripchat, where he will teach an online self-defense seminar to some of their female employees.
The video of the pair of legendary combat sports athletes training together was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of FightHype.com. Standing beside the elder Diaz brother just moments before the grappling and boxing training began, Tyson Fury said: “I’m here with my friend Nick Diaz. We’re working and coming after all your s##t, we’re going to break you. Nick is in great shape, and he’s ready. Give him a fight Dana, give him a fight!”
