Craig Jones has been on a seminar tour lately and after visiting 10th Planet Austin some footage emerged of him rolling with the whole gym one after the other. It’s truly a treat to watch because this kind of rolling footage easily illustrates the difference between your average skilled grappler and the truly elite competitors capable of submitting some of the best on the planet. Throughout the whole twenty minute video Jones never really breaks a sweat and clearly gives up several opportunities for submission by allowing his training partners to work.
Not only is that a testament to the skill-level that Jones possesses, but also to his overall attitude towards grappling. He’s keeping the session light and playful the entire time without needing to ever really push the pace or put his partners under any real pressure. To him, the rolling session is clearly more about allowing the guys at the gym to feel what it’s like to roll with him and be able to take away small lessons that they can then apply to their own games moving forward, as opposed to it actually being any kind of training for him.
The below video of Craig Jones rolling with an entire 10th Planet gym comes courtesy of Count Films TV and was uploaded to their official YouTube channel. This will no doubt be one of the last opportunities to see Jones under a relaxed setting as he’ll likely be gearing up his training ahead of Polaris 17 on October 9th where he will be defending his Middleweight title.
