A pair of 10th Planet students were recently seen restraining two other men during a car park brawl, using their knowledge and experience in Jiu-Jitsu to do so. According to the explanation included in the original post, the other men were the aggressors of the situation and the two experienced grapplers were simply defending themselves. There’s no other footage of the event other than a single video and there’s no other witnesses that have come forward as yet, so this is the only explanation that’s been offered.
The footage of the incident was shared by Jason Patterson Jr. of 10th Planet Las Vegas, who was one of the students involved in restraining the alleged aggressors in the car park brawl. This is far from the first time that BJJ has helped someone gain the upper hand in a situation. BJJ black belts have taken down assault suspects in the US and UFC veterans have controlled alleged thieves on the streets of Brazil. All around the world, grappling experience saves countless lives on a daily basis.
