The ADCC Atlanta Open 2025 took place on May 10th, 2025 and the event featured several elite veterans crossing paths with the best of the next generation. Kevin Crane won the men’s absolute division by submitting all 3 of his opponents but he went 2-2 at under 91kg, which was probably the toughest division of the whole tournament. It was won by ADCC veteran Jon ‘Thor’ Blank, who cleaned house with 4 submission wins in his 4 marches despite facing high-level opposition all the way. 19 year-old Michael Sainz continued his superb run under ADCC rules too, as he won the under 76kg division with 3 submissions in 4 matches.

The biggest moment came when 13 year-old Joslyn Molina won the adult women’s absolute division, shortly after she won gold in her own age bracket and a bronze medal in the 15 to 17 year-old division. She wasn’t the only young contender to shine in the women’s brackets though, as Shye Lilly put up a 4-1 record in total to win gold in her weight at under 55kg and a silver medal in a higher weight class. Her sole loss came to Teshya Alo, who was flawless with 3 wins to take gold at under 60kg. Faye Cherrier won the lightest division with two wins at under 50kg, while Maka Vickers went 4-1 in total to win the under 65kg division and a silver medal in the absolute behind Molina.
