UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 is scheduled for March 6th, 2025 and we’ve put together a full preview of this fantastic card. There’s several excellent matchups on it, even though it is going ahead slightly thinner than originally planned. Ffion Davies suffered a shoulder injury and had to withdraw from her main event battle with Adele Fornarino, and that changed forced a reshuffle of the card. Fortunately there was another pair of big names that were originally going to serve as the co-main event, so the match between Nicky Rodriguez and Victor Hugo was bumped up to the headline spot and fans will still be in for a great night of grappling.
UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 Card Preview
Nicky Rodriguez vs Victor Hugo – Absolute
Nicky Rodriguez is an incredible competitor but Victor Hugo is someone that he has historically struggled with. They’ve faced each other three times over the last 5 years and Hugo has won a decision over Rodriguez every single time, with the most recent win coming at Who’s Number One 22 last year. Rodriguez has improved dramatically over the course of their rivalry and he’s a much different grappler compared to his capabilities in 2020. It’s going to be a tough match but Hugo’s style has caused problems for Rodriguez every time, so the safe bet is that he wins another close decision here.
Renato Canuto vs Oliver Taza – 170lbs
The co-main event is also a rematch, but Renato Canuto and Oliver Taza have only faced each other once before. Canuto won that match on points, but it was all the way back at ADCC 2019 and both men have improved significantly since then. Both of them keep a high pace and they each have exciting styles, so this will likely be the most entertaining match of the night. Canuto has had a higher level of success in the past and although being less active in recent years might factor into it, he should still be able to get a second win over Taza.
Elisabeth Clay vs Brianna Ste-Marie – 145lbs
This is yet another rematch, as Elisabeth Clay and Brianna Ste-Marie are currently 1-1 against one another. Both of those matches were pretty recent too, with the last one coming just a few months ago at the IBJJF No Gi World Championship 2024, where Ste-Marie got the submission win. It’s tough to predict how this match will unfold though, because Clay was only a few months removed from having her first child back then. Not to take anything away from Ste-Marie though, because she was on fire at that event. This really could go either way, but we’re predicting that Clay gets the win in a close match.
Ronaldo Junior vs Felipe Costa – 185lbs
Felipe Costa has had an excellent run of form lately but Ronaldo Junior has also beaten some of the best in the world in no gi. If this match had taken place even a year or two ago then Junior would have been the strong favorite to win, but Costa has improved a lot during the build up to ADCC 2024 and left that event with a bronze medal. He definitely has a path to victory here, but Junior is a very well-rounded grappler with a superb tactical understanding of the game. He should be able to use that to get the win on points or by decision himself but it will be a game of inches and losing even a single exchange could lead to Costa winning instead.
Andy Murasaki vs Daniel Sathler – 170lbs
Andy Murasaki has been right there among the best gi grapplers in the world for a few years now, but he’s hardly ever competed in no gi at black belt. He has been open about wanting to return to this side of the sport and the promotion really couldn’t have picked a better person for him to face. Murasaki matches up well with Daniel Sathler stylistically, and Sathler should be able to push him to the very limit. Sathler will have the advantage in no gi experience but Murasaki has been phenomenal when he has done it in the past, so he should get the win here.
Cassia Moura vs Sarah Galvao – 130lbs
Although these two women aren’t the biggest names in this preview, this is still one of the best matches on the whole UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 card. Sarah Galvao is one of the top prospects in the world right now and Cassia Moura has followed the same trajectory but just about a year ahead of her. This could be the first phase of a rivalry that would last years and given that both women are already at the top of the game, it would definitely be one worth watching. Moura has the slight edge given her success at the highest level, but Galvao simply hasn’t had as many opportunities yet due to her being a brown belt. We’re picking Moura to come away with the win, based on that experience advantage.
Maggie Grindatti Lira vs Helena Crevar – 145lbs
Maggie Grindatti Lira has enjoyed an amazing return to the sport after initially retiring back in 2023, and she’s already overcome a very tough test. Helena Crevar is a whole other level though, and she’s coming in to this match fresh off completing her journey from top prospect to serious contender after getting a silver medal at ADCC 2024. Where Grindatti Lira has an edge is that she’s a very physically-imposing grappler who’s difficult to submit, so Crevar will likely have to outscore or outwork her in order to win. That’s not an easy thing to do, but Crevar is still the favorite regardless.
Achilles Rocha vs Nathan Haddad – 185lbs
Achilles Rocha is the son of BJJ legend Vagner Rocha and he’s already become known for his entertaining style, one that has caused problems for a lot of competitors that have more experience than him. Nathan Haddad has a little more experience at this level and he’s shown during his multiple appearances on the Professional Grappling Federation that even the best grapplers in the world find him to be a tough opponent. The pace that Rocha will put on him might cause him to open up more, and it’s those kind of exchanges that should allow Rocha to score and get the win.
Carlos Henrique vs Victor Delibero – 155lbs
This is another battle between a veteran grappler and a talented up-and-comer, with Carlos Henrique playing the role of the seasoned competitor even though he’s only been a black belt for two years. Victor Delibero is a purple belt though, and Henrique was winning major events at his level almost 5 years ago now. Delibero is definitely one to watch for the future, but Henrique’s experience and well-rounded skillset should prove to be too much for him to handle.
