Finishers: Apex is scheduled for January 18th, 2025 and the promotion has announced a fantastic card that includes three title-fights. Once again they will be making use of the same format as the Craig Jones Invitational, where matches will take place over either three or five five-minute rounds and judges will use the ten-point must scoring system with open scoring. It has definitely proved to be a success so far and with so many titles up for grabs on the same night, this event will be a huge test of the format. There’s plenty of great matches before them too, most notably one between top competitors Sam Micale and Kevin Dantzler.
The first title-fight is the only female one, as Finishers veteran Kate Egan facing the exciting Sharon Meguira for the interim featherweight title and the right to face Molli Zborowski next. Immediately after that, the men’s lightweight title is on the line when talented MMA prospect Christian Bobe takes on teenage grappling phenom Matt Masch. That match will serve as the co-main event, leading directly in to the heavyweight title-fight main event. Another top prospect is featured in this match, as reigning champion Pat Shahgholi will be attempting to defend his title against Connor Dixon. The new ruleset and a new focus on less matches has allowed Finishers to put together an amazing card that will no doubt deliver action from start to finish.
