Subversiv 5 is right around the corner and the unique team grappling promotion has just announced the lineup for the event. As is always the case for the promotion, the teams will all feature one -180lbs male competitor, one +180lbs male competitor, and one openweight female competitor. The athletes then stick to their weight category and compete in a “best two out of three” format to decide which team progresses to the next round and goes home with the grand prize.

One of the favorites will be ATOS, the defending champions after storming to victory at Subversiv 4 after being driven by a fantastic performance by Lucas ‘Hulk’ Barbosa, who also returns to represent Andre Galvao’s team. The champions from Subversiv 3 are also in attendance but with a very different team to the one that brought back the gold back then, with only Kendall Reusing returning to represent Gracie Barra this time around.
