Combat Jiu-Jitsu NewsCombat Jiu-Jitsu (CJJ) is a specific BJJ ruleset that was first created by Eddie Bravo back in 2017. The main thing that separates it from every other Jiu-Jitsu ruleset is the fact that strikes are actually allowed. Whenever the competitors are grounded, they are allowed to use open-palm strikes against one another. There are no strikes allowed when standing and no other strikes outside of those done with an open palm. There are no points involved in CJJ matches either, and they use the EBI overtime ruleset to determine a winner if there is no submission within the regulation time period.
