Subversiv 11: Combat Jiu-Jitsu Grand Championship took place on September 8th, 2024 and the promotion put together an excellent night of superfights to build up to an epic Combat Jiu-Jitsu team title-match. There was plenty of highlights throughout the card, including the submission of the night from Ricardo Rea. Popular competitors like Breylor Grout and Kyle Chambers also made an appearance, and they won their respective matches by decision. That led into the final superfight of the night, where Noah Chen won the promotion’s middleweight title after some beautiful transitions led him to an armbar finish.
The team championship match was the grand finale of the night, with Team Level being the defending champions and Team Phaze having earned their title-shot by winning the Subversiv 10 tournament. Things got off to a great start for Team Phaze when they were given a 1-0 lead by their only female member, Alex Enriquez, but Team Level drew level when Travis Thomas submitted his opponent with a standing rear-naked choke. It all came down to the final match and tensions ran high throughout, but Alex Grandy got the win in EBI overtime to seal the victory for Team Phaze. Before they could receive their titles, Team Level’s Markus Perez got into a fight with a booing member of the crowd and a brawl broke out that was fortunately settled quickly without any injuries.
