Subversion: Conquest took place on November 23rd, 2024 and the event produced plenty of memorable moments and surprising results. Ricky Pachon secured one of the best finishes of the night by using his belt to submit his opponent with an assassin choke, in. a similar fashion to the legendary Baret Yoshida. There were quite a few other finishes throughout both the preliminary card and the main card, but naturally most of the attention was set on the main and co-main events of the evening. The card was stacked full of talented Australian grapplers, but two Subversion titles were on the line in the final matches of the night.

The co-main event saw the promotion crowning their very first welterweight champion and they couldn’t have picked a better matchup for it. Both Joao Marco and Cooper Burnham are great competitors but it was one fatal error from Burnham that led to the end of the match. He shot in for a takedown and when it was sprawled on, that gave Marco the  chance to lock up an arm-in guillotine choke to win by submission. Shortly after that it was time for the main event, where Nicholas Maglicic was challenging Declan Moody for his interim heavyweight title. The two men went to war over the course of an incredibly tough match, but in the end Maglicic won the decision and became the new interim champion.
