Subversion: Anarchy took place on July 19th, 2025 and the results featured an absolutely huge upset. Before that happened though, there was plenty of great performances from some of the best grapplers in Australia. One of the biggest moments came in the final non-title match of the night, where David Stoilescu was taking on Aaron Maher. Stoilescu actually stepped in on just a few days’ notice to replace elite leglocker Robert Degle, and he came away with a huge win. He had Maher’s back while Maher was posting on his hands and he took one of those arms out and pulled it behind his back for a rarely-seen shoulder-lock finish.

That led straight into the co-main event and the first of the night’s two title-fights, where a women’s bantamweight champion was going to be crowned. Sirena Allen-De Guzman submitted Jacinta Austin with an americana from a triangle choke, winning the title and getting promoted to brown belt immediately after. The main event was where things got really crazy though, as Nicholas Maglicic won a decision over one of the top Australian grapplers in the world right now. He was the interim heavyweight champion and ADCC veteran Josh Saunders was the lineal champion, but Maglicic left with the unified title after some excellent work from K guard throughout.
