Submission Hunter Pro 92 took place on July 28th, 2024 and there was several fantastic finishes and exciting matches throughout the night’s results. The main attraction was an under 225lbs tournament featuring 8 elite competitors, but there was plenty of other great matches elsewhere on the card. In fact, one of the most impressive finishes of the night actually came in one of the purple belt matches right at the beginning of the event. Davis Asare proved why he’s one of the top New Wave Jiu-Jitsu prospects right now when he leapt into a beautiful flying armbar to finish his opponent in just 11 seconds.
The under 225lbs tournament saw it’s fair share of exciting finishes as well, no doubt thanks in part to the $5,000 grand prize that was up for grabs. Anthony Robinson put in an impressive performance on one side of the bracket, submitting both Carlos Diaz and Dylan Melton to book his place in the final. ADCC veteran Ben Hodgkinson was the man who met him there after an equally impressive run through his side where he submitted Pedro Rubim and Abraham La Montagne. Robinson put up a valiant effort and took him all the way to the end of the regulation period and overtime, but in the end Hodgkinson earned a pretty clean win on points to take home the title.
