Some of the biggest legends in Jiu-Jitsu history will be attending BJJ Summer Week 2025 in order to share their knowledge with over a thousand grapplers from around the world. The latest edition of the festival will mark its 10th anniversary and they really are pulling out all the stops with this incredible lineup of instructors. The lineup is still growing at the time of writing with more elite competitors and coaches to be announced, but already it includes some of the brightest minds to ever set foot on the mat. It will take place from September 17th to 21st, 2025 and tickets are selling fast already.

Demian Maia was one of the very first to be announced and although he was one of the best grapplers in the world at one point, it was his stellar MMA career that really brought him his fame. Maia is an ADCC world champion and a two-time UFC title-challenger, with submission wins over some of the biggest names in MMA. He was soon joined by a true pioneer of the sport in Italy, UIJJ founder Dario Bacci. Not only has Bacci been the driving force behind the growth of the sport in the region, but he’s also a seasoned BJJ and Judo black belt himself.

Alongside them is another elite grappler who embarked upon a successful MMA career, Michelle Nicolini. She had an impressive stint at ONE Championship that culminated in her challenging for the promotion’s strawwweight title, but it is her incredible eight IBJJF World Championship titles that really cemented her status as one of the best to ever do it. The final legend in the lineup so far is another multiple-time IBJJF world champion, Vitor ‘Shaolin’ Ribeiro. Ribeiro won his world titles in the late 90s and early 2000s, and he continued to compete against the best grapplers in the world right up until 2018.

All four of these Jiu-Jitsu legends will be teaching at BJJ Summer Week 2025 and the sheer amount of knowledge on the mat during that week is astounding. Grapplers can get the chance to train alongside and learn from them all from as little as €510 without accommodation and €650 with accommodation included. As an added bonus it all goes down in one of the most beautiful locations in the world; Cagliari, Sardinia. With beautiful coastal landscapes and plenty of sun, it’s the ideal place to relax in between training sessions with some of the best grapplers in the world.
