Sean Strickland is most certainly not the type of guy you want to mess around with, and it seems like Dillon Danis might just be about to find that out first hand. The pair recently exchanged heated words via private messages on social media that seemed to all stem from a since-deleted post on Strickland’s Instagram account. The post and it’s subsequent deletion prompted Danis to message him and start mocking him for having “come at the king”, but Strickland didn’t take the message well at all.
He quickly launched into a lengthy rant that was both insulting and threatening, making it clear that he sees himself as the superior fighter to Danis. This isn’t exactly something out of the ordinary for Strickland either as he’s been known for his outbursts on social media in the past and to many fans, it’s part of what makes him such a watchable fighter. He isn’t just talk either, as Strickland holds an impressive 24-3 professional MMA record that includes 11 UFC victories and is currently riding a solid five-fight win-streak in the promotion.
Compared to Danis’ 2-0 career against opponents with a combined record of 5-7, it’s completely understandable that Strickland is so confident of his abilities should the two ever actually cross paths in the cage. As recent footage of Strickland sparring with ADCC world champion Orlando Sanchez shows, he’s not exactly a shrinking violet in practice either.
