Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza is scheduled for September 26th to 29th, 2024 and the lineup of incredible instructors who will be teaching has just been announced. BJJ training camps represent a great opportunity for people to train under elite competitors and coaches, but this group of instructors are a whole other level. Perhaps the biggest announcement is that the camp offers the rare opportunity to train under one of the greatest competitors in BJJ history, the legendary Roger Gracie. Not only is he one of the most successful competitors ever, but he’s also a fantastic instructor who has produced a number of high-level black belts under the Roger Gracie Academy.
The opportunity to train under Roger Gracie alone would make taking part in the camp worth it, but he’s not the only ADCC or IBJJF world champion who will be teaching. Ffion Davies has already won everything there is to win in the sport but is still an active competitor, and she will be coming into this training camp fresh off having attempted to defend her world title at ADCC 2024. She is the most successful European competitor the sport has ever seen and she’s known for being incredibly well-rounded, so she will be able to bring some great instruction to the table too.
Coming with Davies is the first person that she has ever promoted to black belt in the sport, Rosa Walsh. Not only is Walsh a veteran competitor with several appearances on the biggest professional grappling promotions in the world like Polaris and Grapplefest, but she’s also the reigning IBJJF No Gi European Champion. There’s one more grappler who will round out the group of elite female instructors teaching at the Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza is the very first female ONE Championship submission grappling world champion, atomweight champion Danielle Kelly.
Rayron Gracie will also be teaching in Ibiza and although he was only recently promoted to black belt, he has already established himself as one of the top competitors in the sport inside of just a few matches. The signs were there before as he became the double champion at the IBJJF World Championship at both purple and brown belt, but his recent win over Fellipe Andrew was a truly impressive achievement. The brilliant lineup doesn’t stop there either as of the most advanced back-taking specialists on the planet, Espen Mathiesen, will also be sharing some of his unique insights into the sport.
The final instructor who will be making the trip to Ibiza is Diego ‘Pato’ Oliveira, the reigning IBJJF World Champion and the reigning IBJJF No Gi World Champion. Oliveira is one of the most successful competitors alive today and has won multiple major titles across several different weight classes, including most recently becoming the first Who’s Number One double champion. With these 7 competitors and coaches making the journey to teach, there will be more BJJ knowledge on the mats here than most people will ever experience.
