Rener Gracie has just been invited to make his second appearance on the popular TV show Shark Tank in order to pitch his newest product, the Sleeper Hold neck pillow. The first time that he appeared on the show was on episode 23 of the 10th season, all the way back in 2019. He appeared on there to pitch Quikflip Apparel, a garment that was capable of converting into a backpack that he had invented recently at the time. Although he did actually secure a a $250,000 cash and $250,000 loan investment offer in exchange for 10% of the business, the deal wasn’t finalized and he left without anything.
Regardless of the fact that Rener Gracie wasn’t successful in securing a deal on his first appearance on Shark Tank, the TV appearance alone proved to be more than enough. Both the sales and profitability of Quikflip Apparel went through the roof after he appeared on the show and the company grew at an impressive rate over the next few years. Now Rener is aiming to achieve the same level of success with his latest business venture as well.
The Sleeper Hold neck pillow is essentially a new take on the classic travel pillow that most people will be familiar with. Those pillows are something that is sold in every airport and anyone who’s been on more than a handful of flights has probably attempted to use at some point or another. While people report varying degrees of comfort with the traditional travel pillow, Rener Gracie is attempting to improve that situation for everyone. While the Sleeper Hold neck pillow seems to be getting good responses in the early days, the invite he’s received to appear on Shark Tank might demonstrate that he has a good idea on his hands.
