The ADCC Oklahoma Open 2025 took place on April 12th, 2025 and Lovato Jiu-Jitsu emerged as the top team in the adult divisions. Their namesake, ADCC legend and MMA veteran Rafael Lovato Jr, even stepped on to the mats and submitted the same opponent twice to win the Masters over 100kg division. Mohler MMA was an incredibly close second place, and it was Alfonso Kaihua who gave them their most impressive results. He won 6 matches in a row in order to take home gold medals in both the over 100kg and absolute divisions, even beating Sean Yadimarco by decision in the final of the absolute.

Every one of Yadimarco’s wins came by submission but he finished with a 5-3 record on the day and missed out on another medal at under 91kg. Alpha Miami Grappling took third place in the adult team rankings, thanks largely to the exciting young Sainz brothers. Carlos and Tristan won the under 60kg and under 70kg divisions respectively, while 19 year-old elder brother Michael Sainz beat 4 opponents to win gold at under 76kg. The men’s divisions were generally bigger at the ADCC Oklahoma Open 2025, but there was plenty of elite grapplers and talented young prospects competing in the women’s divisions as well.

Spanish black belt Ana Mayordomo won the absolute division by submitting both of her opponents and although she won her first match at under 60kg by submission too, she had to settle for a silver medal there. Teshya Alo submitted her in the final, finishing the day with a perfect 2-0 record after deciding not to enter the absolute herself. Maka Vickers also went 2-0 to win her weight class at under 65kg, but she couldn’t make it to the podium in the absolute after. The other big name competing in the women’s divisions was at under 55kg, where top 10th Planet competitor Lauren Sears submitted both of her opponents to win gold.
