In the strangest news item of recent memory, political commentator Cenk Uygur replied to a tweet challenging him to call Joe Rogan a loser to his face with what is almost certainly the worst opinion he’s ever had. According to Uygur he would ‘end him’ and he even provided the logic behind his opinion, the fact that he’s much larger than Rogan and has fought his whole life, apparently. It’s a little unclear what Uygur really means by fighting because there’s zero record of him having any experience in combat sports competition and he’s never made any mention of having any formal training. It seems likely that when he says he has ‘fought’ his whole life, Uygur is referencing verbal disagreements as opposed to any actual physical altercations.
Deal. Easiest $1,000 I ever made. You think he’s going to assault me? Sure, whatever. That’s incredibly dumb. But also wouldn’t work. I’m much larger than Joe and I’ve fought my whole life. I’d end him. But grownups don’t do that. I’ll send you the PO Box to send check to later. https://t.co/vB2FeGgiKr

Unlike Cenk Uygur, Joe Rogan has a phenomenal amount of martial arts training over the course of several decades and has even competed at a reasonably high level in Tae Kwon Do during his youth. Rogan is not just a black belt in Tae Kwon Do however, as he has also received a BJJ black belt from Jean Jacques Machado and a 10th Planet black belt from the founder, Eddie Bravo. Alongside this, Uygur’s claim that he’s ‘much larger than Joe’ doesn’t quite seem right either. It seems as though he’d have roughly an inch or two in height on him at most and although he probably does outweigh Rogan, he is far less athletic than the UFC commentator and is unlikely to be any stronger.
All of this to say that, quite obviously, Uygur likely wouldn’t stand the slimmest of chances against Rogan if the pair did ever fight. As both of them are now in their early fifties, this fantasy matchup will never come to fruition of course, but just the fact that Uygur even has this opinion is crazy. There doesn’t seem to be the slightest hint of sarcasm in the response and Uygur appears to be entirely serious, so he’s rightfully attracted a healthy amount of both criticism and laughter from all corners of social media:
"I'm much bigger than Joe"
Dude you're 1 inch taller and your cardio is probably dog 💩
What do you thinks gonna happen when you're dead exhausted and Joe isn't even breaking a sweat yet?
