Polaris have just announced that they are making a huge move to FloGrappling from 2026 onwards, and their events will be streamed exclusively on their platform. It’s no doubt going to be a lucrative move by the promotion, as there aren’t many other reasons that could make them leave their long-time home at UFC Fight Pass. They’ve been one of the key grappling promotions that Fight Pass offers for many years now, but there’s also the arrival of UFC BJJ to consider. With the UFC reportedly pumping an eight-figure sum into it, it raises the question of how much money is left for outside partners like Polaris.
The move to FloGrappling might not necessarily be for more money than Polaris are currently getting, but it’s clearly for more money than they would have gotten in 2026 and beyond. It’s obviously going to be a little bit of upheaval for Europe’s biggest professional grappling promotion, but their 2026 events are scheduled to continue as planned. They’ve been keeping a steady pace of 4 events every year over the last few years and that looks to remain unchanged. That’s a big addition to the FloGrappling schedule and given that they regularly feature the top competitors in Europe, it’s also a huge acquisition that should help them dominate a large part of the Jiu-Jitsu streaming market.
The platform has dominated the highest level of the sport for quite some time with exclusive rights to all IBJJF majors, ADCC Trials, and the ADCC world championship. They’ve also had a very strong grip over the US market with multiple different smaller promotions under their banner and their own Who’s Number One events on a regular basis. They’re clearly making a huge expansion play at the moment as they’ve cornered the Brazilian market by bringing Majestic BJJ Challenge on board to join BJJ Stars, and Polaris might just be the first of many European promotions they attract now.
From 2026 onwards, all Polaris events will be available to watch exclusively on FloGrappling, click here to subscribe and watch.
