Place Of Peace Invitational 8 took place on September 14th, 2024 and there was some impressive matches included in the lineup. They only began putting together events a little over a year ago and already they’ve featured some of the biggest names in the sport. This latest event was no different either, with the main event in particular standing out as a pretty high-profile match between two elite competitors. There was plenty of exciting matches leading up to that as well of course, with almost all of the main card matches ending in submission and some great highlights throughout the night.

One of the most interesting matches on the main card actually took place towards the end of the night too, as Felipe Cesar and Steve Joachim faced one another in a battle between two veteran grapplers. Cesar was able to get the win in the end, as he pulled ahead on points in order to add yet another impressive name to his extensive resume. That match led straight into the co-main event as well, where IBJJF No Gi World Championship winner Devhonte Johnson was also able add another win to his record by scoring enough points to beat Denis Gunic.

The main event match was undoubtedly the highlight of the night, as multiple-time ADCC veteran Keith Krikorian was taking on one of the most exciting grapplers in the world. His opponent was top Costa Rican competitor Julian Espinosa and it was pretty clear that both men were going to give it their all given their reputations. Krikorian came out on top in the end though, as he submitted Espinosa with the second rear-naked choke of the night and finished the event off on a high note. All in all, Place of Peace Invitational 8 was a great night of high-level grappling with tons of action for the fans.
