ONE FC Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee has been forced to delay the grand opening of her new gym, United BJJ Hawaii, after a senseless act of vandalism. Lee explained in a post on her official Instagram account that she discovered that the suspect had destroyed both the windows and door of the new gym, and included video footage of the incident. This event has meant that both Lee and her husband/ fellow coach, Bruno Pucci, will have to move the opening of their new gym back by a few days, to Monday instead of being able to open over the weekend.
The couple have advised that anybody who had a free class or trial booked in for the days that they have had to close, will be able to delay that in line with their new opening date, and they’ve already contacted the police to report the crime. While there’s nothing that Angela Lee or Bruno Pucci can really do other than fix the damage caused by the mindless act of vandalism, hopefully the police will be able to find the suspect who caused the damage and bring him to justice in relatively short order.
The year will be an incredibly busy one for Lee, as she will have to juggle her time between the opening of United BJJ Hawaii, and her upcoming guest appearance on the ONE FC Edition of “The Apprentice” where she will star among a number of MMA legends. In between these two big commitments, she’ll also likely be putting her Atomweight World Championship on the line at some point soon after she last defended it in October against Xiong Jing Nan.
