Fury Pro Grappling 9 is scheduled for April 4th, 2024 and the promotion has announced a stacked lineup that’s full of both fantastic MMA fighters and submission grappling veterans. The event will actually be taking place on the Air National Guard Base in Savannah, Georgia, and streamed live on UFC Fight Pass at the same time. The full card has yet to be confirmed and there will be several more entertaining matches added as the date comes closer, but the four matches that have already been announced look set to be action-packed battles.
Exciting BJJ competitor and former NCAA Division I wrestler Max Livingston has been booked against the reigning Cage Fury Fighting Championship featherweight champion Jose Perez. With an 8-1 professional record, Perez is one of the top competitors on the regional MMA circuit in his weight class right now and his match with Livingston should produce some fireworks. Highly-experienced grappler Marcelo Cohen is also competing at the event, and he will be facing off with popular UFC flyweight veteran Jimmy Flick in a match at 145lbs. Flick is a BJJ black belt and has been known as a submission specialist throughout his MMA career, so he should be able to give Cohen a fantastic match.
Flick isn’t the only elite UFC fighter in the Fury Pro Grappling 9 lineup either, as top welterweight contender Neil Magny has also been matched up. He will be facing off against Miguael Baeza, a fellow UFC welterweight who currently holds 10-3 professional MMA record. Another pair of UFC fighters are meeting in the main event, as welterweight Charles Radtke is challenging himself against middleweight veteran Eryk Anders. Although Anders is coming off a decision win in his last grappling match at Fury Pro Grappling 8, Radtke has just started his UFC career with a pair of impressive victories and both men will be riding a wave of momentum into the match.
The first few matches of the lineup for Fury Pro Grappling 9 were announced in a recent post to the promotion’s official Instagram account:
