Battleground Grappling 4 is scheduled for September 23rd, 2023 and the promotion has put together a lineup that consists of some of the finest grapplers that Australia has to offer. There’s still some matches that have yet to be announced, but the final three superfights of the event have been confirmed. The promotion has put together some fantastic events in the past and their fourth one looks as though it’s going to be action-packed as well. It truly is a testament to just how far BJJ has come in Australia that there are several promotions putting on regular events with high-level grapplers now.
The first match announced for the lineup at Battleground Grappling 4 is between two veterans of the sport, Bobadilla and Vicente Cavalcanti. They will both no doubt be eager to put on a show for the fans in attendance and watching on PPV, and this match will lead directly into the co-main event for the night. That will feature the head coach at Evolution BJJ in Perth, Brodie Sprlyan, as he takes on a tough challenge from a consistent face on the competition scene in Werique Oliveira.
The main event for Battleground Grappling 4 stars Absolute MMA coach and a black belt under Lachlan Giles, Tom Everett as he faces some stiff opposition. Everett is scheduled to compete against Rodrigo Costa, a fellow BJJ black belt who splits his time between running his own academy in Perth and fighting in the cage. Costa is a veteran of the regional MMA circuit in Australia who currently holds a 7-5 professional record that includes a title-reign at Eternal MMA. All in all, the card is set to be a great night of high-level grappling action and any fans watching at the Dickinson Centre or at home won’t be disappointed.
