It seems that Kron Gracie has had enough of the constant restrictions and shutdowns that have been causing an immense amount of harm to his existing gym in California, along with many others across the world. Fortunately for the ADCC World Champion and current UFC fighter, he has the financial means to do something to avoid the restrictions in place, namely moving back to his former home-state of Montana. In doing so, he’s able to avoid the rules that have been put in place for his current state and open a new business in a place where conditions are far more relaxed.
The news was broken in a video on the official channel for Czech YouTuber, Michal Sopor, where Kron Gracie said that he was moving to Montana to “build this gym for a couple of months” and see how far he can bring it along before he jumps back into fighting again. This comes when Gracie has already had a significant time away from the sport after suffering a Unanimous Decision loss to veteran fighter Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Night 161 in October, 2019. This last fight was the first loss in professional MMA career and brought his record to 5-1 overall, and 1-1 on the UFC stage after his successful debut against Alex Caceres.
With longer away from competing in the octagon, it’s no doubt that he will have made some big improvements in his game and will be eager to get back on the right track. If he is able to take his striking to the next level so he can compete with ranked UFC fighters, this should be enough combined with his elite grappling to make a big statement in the UFC Featherweight division.
Good luck with that as a brown person those potatoes hated me everywhere i went.
