JitsCast #4 features Chris Wojcik, a top-four finisher at ADCC 2024 and one of the best no gi grapplers in his weight class at the moment. Wojcik has a ton of competition experience and particularly over the last two years, he’s been a frequent fixture in the final stages of several major events. After four appearances at ADCC Trials throughout 2023 and 2024, Wojcik was given the invite to ADCC 2024 and was one of the biggest stars to emerge from the event. With that level of experience in the sport, Wojcik was able to share some very insightful advice on competition at all stages of a BJJ career.
Wojcik gave some insight into his journey before ADCC 2024 as well, from his earliest days at Serafin Jiu-Jitsu to his move to B-Team Jiu-Jitsu. He also shared the reasons behind that move, and why he decided to train at B-Team instead of New Wave Jiu-Jitsu when he moved to Austin, Texas. Although ADCC was undoubtedly the biggest moment of Wojcik’s career so far, he has ridden that wave of momentum directly into other major tournaments this year. We wanted to find out a little more about his time competing at PGF World Season 7 directly after ADCC, where he reached the final after an incredible week of tough matches.
His loss to the champion Ryan Aitken only came in EBI overtime, so it was always going to be interesting to hear how Wojcik has adapted his training after that. Most importantly because he still has one more tournament booked before the end of the year, EBI 22: The Welterweights. Although Wojcik said he plans to take a little time off after his final competition of the year, he still has one eye on the future beyond that as well. He revealed that he’s already had some tentative talks for matches in March 2025 and he was even able to suggest some opponents that he’s interested in facing next year. It
