Jiu-Jitsu Con 2025 will take place from August 28th to 30th and the IBJJF have really outdone themselves this year with the incredible seminar lineup. Every year they manage to book some of the best grapplers in the world alongside legendary competitors to teach a series of classes to the convention’s attendees, but this year is even bigger than before. It makes sense too, as the convention itself is the biggest it’s ever been and there will be over 1,250 grapplers travelling to Las Vegas, Nevada for it. Given that they only broke 1,000 for the first time last year, the growth that they’ve experienced is incredible.
That mirrors the growth in the popularity of the sport too, and almost all of those 1,250 attendees will be actively training or competing themselves. Between the Jiu-Jitsu Con gi and no gi tournaments, the Novice world championship, and the IBJJF Master World Chsmpionship; there’s going to be something for everyone. In between competing and visiting vendors, the non-stop seminars are going to be one of the main attractions. Almost every major competition team is going to be represented by a mixture of their head coaches and their best competitors. For some of the biggest legends, Jiu-Jitsu Con 2025 will be a unique opportunity to learn from them.
From Roger Gracie to Marcelo Garcia and Andre Galvao to Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida, most of the biggest contenders in the GOAT debate will be teaching. They aren’t alone either, several other legends from their generation like Xande Ribeiro and Romulo Barral are also there. Carlson Gracie Jr and Royler Gracie are among those who will be representing the generation even before that, while there’s plenty of today’s top competitors too. Gabrieli Pessanha and Mica Galvao are the most accomplished of them but there really is a wide range of skillsets present, with other big names like Michael Pixley and Jansen Gomes teaching too.
