The third edition of The Crown took place on November 23rd, 2025 and 6 champions delivered the results they needed to win the premier professional IBJJF event. One of the most impressive runs came in the super-heavyweight division, where Gabrieli Pessanha hit a pair of ankle-locks against Anabel Lopez and Maria Alencar before securing a win over Tayane Porfirio on points. Pessanha wasn’t the only person to leave with their third title from The Crown though, as Erich Munis achieved the same feat at ultra-heavyweight. He also scored a pair of submission wins against Paulo Lanzilotti and Marcos Carrozzino, along with a points-win over Gustavo Batista in the final.
The only other multiple-time champion was Andy Murasaki, who won his second title in the middleweight division with two very tough decision wins over Mateo Cardona and Pedro Maia and a 4-0 win over Jackson Nagai. The other three divisions all featured new champions and some of them were pretty big upsets. The biggest upset was undoubtedly Nolan Stuart, who took the heavyweight crown by dominated Robson Chaves in his first match, won a decision against Lucas ‘Hulk’ Barbosa in his second, and then submitted Adam Wardzinski with an omoplata in the final.
Cole Abate also won his first title at featherweight and he had to make it through three very difficult matches in order to do so. He beat Danilo Moreira on points, edged past Kennedy Maciel on advantages, and managed to get another victory on points in the final against Joao Mendes. The final champion was also the youngest, as 19 year-old Sarah Galvao took home the lightweight title. She kicked things off with a big upset at the start by submitting Brianna Ste-Marie before beating fellow young contender Cassia Moura by decision in the semi-finals. Then she had another tough match against a veteran in the final, but she beat Janaina Lebre by scoring a single advantage in order to take home the title.
