The IBJJF No Gi American National Championship 2025 took place on June 27th, 2025 and there were several major US competitors stepping on the mats. There was only one double champion in the black belt divisions and that was ATOS standout Amanda Bruse, who won the lightweight and absolute brackets. The absolute was particularly tough, as super-heavyweight winner Maria Vicentini ended up taking home the silver medal there. Beatrice Jin and Nadia Frankland were the two bronze medalists, and they were the women who won the middleweight and medium-heavyweight divisions respectively, so there was incredibly difficult matches every step of the way.
The men’s absolute division was won by Clay Mayfield, but he could only manage a bronze medal in a tough medium-heavyweight division that was won by Vitor Peres. Interestingly, Fabyury Khrysthyan actually won silver at that weight ahead of Mayfield but was behind him in the absolute division with a second silver medal. There were a few other big names winning gold elsewhere, with the most notable being Tammi Musumeci at featherweight. Max Hanson and Sean Yadimarco both made an appearance in the men’s divisions, each winning gold medals. Hanson beat some really tough opponents at lightweight, while Yadimarco also had some great matches along the way to winning at heavyweight.
