Helena Crevar will now be attempting to defend her under 145lbs title against Ashley Greer in the main event of Pit Fighting Championship 2 on September 27th, 2025. It will be the first time that Crevar has defended this title specifically, but she’s one of the most active competitors in the world right now. She’s won an incredible number of titles for several major promotions like Who’s Number One and Polaris, and she regularly travels around the world in order to both win more and defend the ones she already has. She actually last competed less than a month ago, when she won the women’s division at the second Craig Jones Invitational.
That was probably the undoubtedly moment of her career so far, even topping the silver medal that she won at ADCC 2024 last year. She’s beaten several elite competitors in the time in between those two events as well, firmly cementing her place right at the top of the sport. In fact, winning this title came just 6 weeks after ADCC when she submitted Sarah Paul at Spokane Submission Series 3. The promotion has undergone a change of name since then, to better emphasise the fact that they’re one of the few grappling events in the world that make use of the pit.
This time around they’ve booked her against Ashley Greer; a BJJ brown belt who won the IBJJF No Gi World Championship last year as a Master 2 purple belt competitor. Crevar has obviously had a much higher level of success and has been beating adult black belts for quite a while already, so she’s the heavy favourite coming into the match. Greer is a good grappler and an excellent all-round athlete, but Crevar has the technical advantage over most female competitors in the world right now. There’s going to be a fair few other matches to look forward to as well, with Wallisson Oliveira facing Fabio Alano and Noah Connors coming up against Christiano Troisi.
