Gordon Ryan and John Danaher will now be giving a 3 hour seminar arranged by Grappling Industries at their annual Arnold Classic event on March 3rd, 2024. The Arnold Classic is a huge bodybuilding event with multiple different divisions that was originally named after Arnold Schwarzanegger and takes place every year. It involves some of the biggest names in that sport and also hosts the Arnold Strongman Classic, an event that always features several former World’s Strongest Man winners. Among the different sports contested at the festival is the annual Grappling Industries gi and no gi tournament, with divisions for children and adults of every belt level.
Although the grappling obviously isn’t the main attraction for most spectators at the event, the tournament that Grappling Industries host routinely attracts a ton of elite competitors. In fact, just last year the final of the absolute division was an epic match between ADCC medalists Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu and Dante Leon. The registration for the Grappling Industries Arnold Classic tournament is still available at the time of writing, although it does close on February 27th, 2024.
Alongside that tournament, the promotion also arranges a seminar with some of the sharpest minds in the sport and this year looks like it’s going to be one of their biggest yet. Gordon Ryan is picked by most as the greatest no gi grappler in the history of the sport and John Danaher is the coach he credits with his success, and they are both helping develop the next generation of talent at New Wave Jiu-Jitsu. Opportunities to learn from the best competitors and coaches in the game don’t come around every day and the 3 hour seminar with Danaher and Ryan is no doubt going to attract a ton of participants.
Grappling Industries announced the news that Gordon Ryan and John Danaher would be teaching the annual seminar at the Arnold Classic in 2024 in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
